For Medicare card holders the listed price covers your telehealth consult and the standard pathology tests for that service.
Medication is separate
Getting the script is free. You pay for the medication itself at the pharmacy, as you normally would.
Some add-ons cost extra
Optional tests like AMH (an egg-reserve marker, $100) and Vitamin D aren’t bulk billed.
No Medicare? Still welcome
Most services are available at the non-Medicare price shown. PrEP and ‘Morning After’ scripts are currently Medicare only.
1 consult per day limit
Medicare only authorises 1 bulk-billed consult per day. Book a consult for the following day if you want a rebate on multiple tests.
Reciprocal Medicare card?
If you hold a reciprocal Medicare card, your consultation is free (bulk billed), but you will need to pay for any pathology tests.
We recommend using ACL (Australian Clinical Labs) for your testing. You’ll pay upfront, but you can claim 100% of the cost back from Medicare, meaning there are no out-of-pocket expenses.
We test by the book
We follow the Australian STI Management Guidelines (ASTI), so we don't routinely test for herpes (HSV) or Mycoplasma genitalium (MGen) if you have no symptoms and aren't a known contact. Routine testing in these cases can lead to misleading results and unnecessary antibiotics. Got symptoms, or a partner who's tested positive? Let your doctor know during your consult and they'll test for you.
